MAC MACFARLAN Partner, Head of Acquisitions

My primary focus is overseeing the sourcing and underwriting of transactions for the firm. I joined Macfarlan in 2007 as an Investment Analyst with the Acquisitions team researching and underwriting, building relationships with brokers, crafting investment packages and market reports and sourcing new transactions. Prior to becoming a partner in 2013, I served for 3 years as Vice President of Acquisitions.

More about my history...From 2008 through 2010, I added the firm's Asset Management to my focus, managing a portfolio of assets in excess of $600 million. Prior to joining Macfarlan, I worked as a petroleum land man in Fort Worth, Texas. I have my Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University and my Masters of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.

I'm a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Texas, and an active member of Watermark Community Church, the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, The Real Estate Council, Urban Land Institute, the Baylor Bear Foundation and the Baylor Alumni Association.

Why I Love it Here

I love working at Macfarlan because of the great people I get to work with every day, the vast array of real estate transactions I've been exposed to, and the collective experience and expertise at the firm - I learn something new each day. I love my job because I get to help our investors by constantly evaluating new investment opportunities, learning about new markets and meeting some really great people in this business in industries and markets around the country. I've had the opportunity to be directly involved in underwriting and closing over $550 million of investments on behalf of the firm and its investors.
