I joined Macfarlan in 2014 as Vice President focusing on investor relations and asset management, and in 2018 I was promoted to Principal and given additional responsibilities within the firm.  Prior to Macfarlan, I served as an analyst in Goldman Sachs real estate financing group where I worked with a team to provide debt financing for commercial real estate borrowers.

More about my history...In my role at Goldman Sachs I performed initial underwriting analysis for over $1 billion in real estate debt financing opportunities. Of those opportunities, I was involved in the closing over $200 million in transactions across multiple property types including office, industrial, retail, hotel, multifamily, and self storage properties. Because my group was originating loans largely for the purpose of securitization, I also managed the flow of data for each asset during the marking of the loans to potential bond buyers.

Prior to Goldman I served with an organization called Mission of Hope Haiti, a Christian development organization that seeks to bring life transformation to every man, woman, and child in Haiti. My areas of concentration included providing logistical support for medical and church groups as well as a variety of project management roles.

I graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.A. in Finance as well as a Masters in Real Estate.

Why I Love it Here

I love working at Macfarlan because the leadership emphasizes quality relationships among our staff and with our clients. This emphasis creates a fun and dynamic work environment among our team as we seek to serve the goals of our investors. I love my role because I get to use my background in real estate finance to provide investors with unique opportunities to place their capital in real estate assets. In the process of doing so, I love meeting and building relationships with an increasing variety of people in both the real estate and wealth management industries.
